Pipestone County EDA Participates In 2007 Spring
Home Show
This year the Pipestone County Economic Development
Authority chose to purchase a booth to participate in
the Pipestone Spring Home Show. The show was
located in the Pipestone Area High School on March 10,
2007. Show hours were from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
County EDA Director John Wagner felt the show was "well
attended".
The County EDA booth was raffling three home repair
gift items: a cordless screwdriver/drill, a rotary tool
accessory kit and a laser level and measuring tool.
A total of 174 people dropped their names in the hat for
a chance to win one of the give away items.
Of the many visitors to the booth, there were six
individuals who indicated personal interest in starting
a new business in or around the Pipestone area.
The staff at the booth handed out a new County EDA
brochure titled "Your Road to Success Starts Here" and
many other informative brochures relating to business
assistance.
Director
John Wagner said, "We decided to participate
in the home show to get the word out about what we do as
the County EDA and the reception we received at the show
was excellent. It was nice to talk with people and
to have the opportunity to clarify exactly what it is
that we do and what we have to offer people in business
and for economic development."
The County EDA was pleased with visitor response
